John Lennon and his wife, Yoko Ono, were arrested in 1968 from their home in London, and were charged with illegal marijuana possession. The singer tried to eliminate the evidence; however, drug-sniffing dogs discovered hashish, a paraphernalia containing traces of marijuana, including morphine. The famous singer pleaded guilty and fined with 150 pounds.
In 1969, the home of George Harrison in London was raided by police with the suspicion of marijuana possession. Along with Patti Boyd, the arrest deterred them from attending Linda and Paul McCartney’s wedding. Both suspects pleaded guilty and fined 250-pounds each.
Bill Murray attempted to smuggle marijuana in Chicago’s O'Hare Airport in 1970. Before becoming one of the stars on Saturday Night Live, Murray was taking his pre-med courses in Denver, but was expelled and arrested after the incident.
